Overview

It is used to detect the internal defects of poor contact between the MOA valves of gapless zinc oxide arresters used in 10kV and 6KV power systems. According to the provisions of 14.2 in the Preventive Test Code for Electric Equipment DL/T596-1996, power plants and substations should detect the metal oxide arresters with DC 1mA voltage (U1mA) and leakage current of 0.75 U1mA before the thunderstorm season every year and when necessary.
